Image Gallery

I was having a hard time constructing the device that I finally abandoned my previous sketch for the image gallery project. Instead of having the second wheel follow the main wheel on top, I had it follow on its side. Not only does it create the same desired effect, but it was much easier to build.

Image Gallery – Processing Final

I finally had the main image remain from rotating along with the rest of the pictures. Also, through trial and error, I found the correct input number to create a seamless vertical movement for the main image. I wanted to see more of the images so I increased their size, however, I noticed that the program has a bug. Some images are being cut diagonally when they pass through a certain area…have no idea how to fix that.

Visual Acoustics

visualacoustics_l200909151506

Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, VISUAL ACOUSTICS celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the world’s greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. Shulman, who passed away this year, captured the work of nearly every major modern and progressive architect since the 1930s including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner, and Frank Gehry. His images epitomized the singular beauty of Southern California’s modernist movement and brought its iconic structures to the attention of the general public. This unique film is both a testament to the evolution of modern architecture and a joyful portrait of the magnetic, whip-smart gentleman who chronicled it with his unforgettable images. Now in theaters. (Apple.com)
